50501 Veterans Statement on Leak of Identities of Homeland Security Employees
WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 2, 2026) — 50501 Veterans today released the following statement regarding the massive leak that exposed the details of more than 41,000 employees or contractions who work for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its core operational components:
“While this leak does include relevant information about how DHS is organized and how agencies such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operate, it also contains personal identifying information about thousands of regular Americans doing legitimate jobs to put bread on the table for their families. 50501 Veterans does not condone the intentional doxxing of any person. We do, however, support the legitimate, ethical analysis of the leaked data as a means to develop a case for the abolishment of ICE and the entire DHS.”
According to Wired Magazine, which initially reported the leak, “The records include email addresses, phone numbers, and office addresses, but also references to internal systems and sensitive information on undercover and surveillance programs. In all, the leak provides a map of how DHS is organized and how it operates.”
