Tom Berhane, a Sudanese immigrant, Army Ranger and Green Beret running for governor of Minnesota, proposed a 14 day mental health wait guarantee, mobile clinics for rural counties, and a peer support line he calls Battle Buddy 1776, describing his own suicide attempt. Carl Able and Katie Chorbak pushed back hard on what a governor should do about the ICE surge in Minneapolis, 287(g) agreements, and the shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
